|
With a powerful rifle and attached magnified scope, the Sniper is suited to position himself at range and on high ground.
Gameplay Details
After safely securing a well-hidden firing position, they must prioritize high-value targets, such as enemy snipers, machine gunners, squad leaders, and commanders, before engaging less valuable targets. The Marksman has a clear advantage over other enemies in terms of range, and can outgun other enemies. Although good in range, they face a huge disadvantage as their arsenal is not purposely designed to deal with close quarters situations or small environments. They can also place a manually-detonated Claymore to protect their vulnerable rear or flanks.

Trivia
- There is a lack of documentation of Australian snipers during the Vietnam War as there were no actual sniper training programs within the Australian military at the time. Another questionable thing are the XM21s that are issued to the Australians in the game, seeing that in such maps like Long Tan take place in 1966, three years before the issue and the design of the weapon.
