The weaponry of Combat Engineers allows them to be extremely aggressive in clearing out rooms and fortified enemy positions. Even if targets aren't immediately visible, their indirect explosives and incendiary weapons can still kill effectively. However, the Engineer is limited at range, and since much of their arsenal causes splash damage, they must be careful that there are no friendly soldiers near their target.
Gameplay Details
The Combat Engineer is mainly purposed and tasked on taking both offensive and defensive roles. Their equipment is vital when trying to clear out a location or objective of enemies. Their manually detonated C4 and Willy Pete grenades are designed to wipe areas and places like rooms, buildings, bunkers, trenches, and other areas in which enemies may be lurking. Their equipment's arsenal is both large and lethal in radius. With C4, it can be detonated at anytime, and can be tossed nearly anywhere, especially over obstacles like walls. On the defensive, C4 can be useful for dealing with lurking enemies on a flank or in a contested objective. The WP grenade is also useful as both an offensive and defensive weapon, denying access of the area to the enemy, but keep in mind their allies as well; tossing a WP in the middle of a grenade's smoke can also trick the enemy into running through its deadly white phosphorus.
The flamethrower, although very lethal, is limited in both fuel as well as speed. When using the flamethrower, it is always important to make sure to switch off between using the flamethrower and Combat Engineer, depending on the situation to adapt with. The flamethrower is designed to reach medium distances at max, wiping out occupants of buildings, bunkers, trenches, tunnels, and other areas. Simply getting caught in the its flames can kill an individual. It is important to be mindful of nearby teammates, as there tends to be accidents in which a friendlies are killed by the flamethrower. It is also important that when spawning as a flamethrower, they should wait for their Squad Leader to get closer to the front line before respawning, as their slow speed tends to delay their time getting to combat.

The Combat Engineer carries a rucksack featuring a shovel in its sheath along with two canteens. He carries a bandolier of rifle ammunition along with other pouches on the front. On him are three grenades and a flash light. A pair of dog tags can be seen worn when shirtless. When equipped with a flamethrower, a fuel tank is present on his back.
Australian Forces
The Combat Engineer carries a rucksack features a shovel in its sheath and a buttpack along with four canteens. He carries two ammo pouches. When equipped with a flamethrower, a fuel tank is present on his back.
Equipment
If the M9A1-7 Flamethrower is chosen, any and all equipment will not be issued to the player after spawning except Squad Leader items.
