Reloading & Check Ammo

From Rising Storm 2 Vietnam Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

All weapons run out of ammo eventually. There are two ammunition pools to keep track of: the amount of ammunition left in the weapon and the amount of ammunition left in reserve.

A player can always see how much ammunition they have left in reserve but are not given an exact count of the rounds left in their weapon. Players are expected to keep track of the ammunition left in their weapon themselves; if players are uncertain they can use the 'Check Ammo' function. By holding the reload key('R' by default) the player character will perform a visual inspection of the weapon and provide a rough estimate of the ammunition state of the weapon. This can range from 'Full', 'Almost Full', 'Close to Empty', to 'Very Close to Empty'.

Detachable Magazine-fed weapons

--------------

Most of the weapons in Rising Storm 2 store ammunition in detachable magazines. If there is still ammunition left in the magazine in the gun the player can reload and replace the magazine with a fresh, full magazine. Non-empty magazines are placed back in the player's reserve ammunition pool and will be used later if all other magazines have been used.
